Are you looking for DJ Jobs in Nightclubs?

Have you ever been in a nightclub and thought that you could do a better playing music than the DJ? Unfortunately, there are only a few DJ jobs out there. If you are looking to land a job as a DJ, the first step is to do your research.

It is a DJ’s job to get the crowd in a nightclub dancing, getting into the music and staying at the club as long as possible. There aren’t a whole lot of auditions for DJ jobs. Usually DJ jobs become available when one DJ moves to another club or is fired for not doing his job or not having the right DJ mix.

To find out about DJ jobs you have to be a part of the club scene. Go to as many clubs as possible and find out who the best DJ’s are and what kind of music they are playing. They got to be the best because they know their craft and know what the public likes.

Another key to getting a DJ job is to listen to what music is popular in the clubs. Stay abreast of the top singers and artists, but also be on the lookout for new bands that have a unique sound.

The other key to getting DJ jobs is to learn the technical aspect of playing music in the clubs. It’s all about the scene, so you have to learn lighting, sound and timing in order to be a successful DJ. Try to learn DJ virtual programs.

You may want to develop a demo CD of yourself doing DJ work at a wedding or other event in order to showcase your talent to nightclub management. Spend time on programming, and getting the mix done right. Finish it off with a slick promotional package. You need to stand out from all the other DJs, and a well made demo CD with good graphics can do it

You won’t find gigs sitting on the couch. Bring your demo to every single club in your town. Do it during daytime work hours, when the manager will be working on business related items.

Some work is better than no work. The exposure you’ll get from having a DJ gig when everyone else won’t help you in the long run. The more recognized you are in an area, the more you can charge.

Offer to conduct your own events at small clubs and to have voice auditions. Get all your friends to come down to the shows. With more of the risk on you, club owners will be more willing to give you a shot.

Make sure to connect with the major three social media sites, Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace. Add new friends to these accounts on a regular basis, and update them with new music, parties, photos, and other content.
